REIKI, the Japanese word for Universal Life Force, is an ancient and gentle healing method to reduce stress, relieve pain, and facilitate healing. Reiki treats the whole person, producing many beneficial effects on the body, as well as feelings of relaxation, peace, and a sense of well being. As definted by the American Medical Association, it is considered a Complimentary Alternative Medicine. Reiki can be used in conjunction with standard medical procedures and personal religious beliefs without any conflict.
Alicia has been a Reiki Master and Teacher for almost 20 years, having initiated Reiki to hundreds of students on both the East and West Coasts of America. She has lectured about Reiki and other forms of complimentary alternative medicine at numerous places, including Harvard Medical School, and has given Reiki treatments at her offices and hospitals. In addition, she has sent Reiki long distance to people, places, and animals all over the globe.
